I have also received specialist training in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and am listed on the UK Register of IBS Hypnotherapists
I specialise in treating clients with anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, depression and confidence/self-esteem issues and the techniques I use bring about profound and positive changes in my clients.
I also provide strategies for people suffering from chronic pain and issues such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, following discussions with your GP.
In my practice I use a mixture of techniques dependent on client needs. I use TAT, EFT and NLP as standalone approaches or in conjunction with each other.
Some of the issues I help people resolve...
Grief
If you have experienced the loss of someone close, their death may seem like an insurmountable obstacle and your heart may feel that it can never recover. This is because we focus on the sadness of their death rather than the happiness of their life. If this grief is causing you such pain it is worth remembering that the person you have lost would not want you to continue suffering in this way. If you feel that you are ready to move forward but are worried about losing your special connection to that person I can help. For more information on how I can help go to the Case Studies page.
Phobias and Anxiety
If you live life fearfully because of an overwhelming phobia or anxiety I can help you overcome these limiting feelings and enable you to live the life you so wish to lead. Information about some of the people I have treated for fears and phobias can be read on the Case Studies page.
Smoking Cessation
If you have decided to stop smoking for financial, health or family reasons the techniques that I use will help you to overcome the addictive cravings you normally associate with trying to kick the habit. By integrating NLP, EFT and elements of hypnosis you will develop the willpower and self-esteem to ensure that you stop for good. More information on the Stop Smoking page
Low Self Esteem
If you have low self esteem because of incidents in your past I can help you to understand the true nature of your self and bring about positive changes to enhance your life now and in the future.
There are a great many more emotionally based problems that I help clients to resolve and some of these are listed on the Emotional Well Being page. If the issue that concerns you is not listed please call me to discuss how these therapies may be able to help you.
My clinics are located in Macclesfield and Manchester.
For Emotional Well Being sessions I am available from 10am to 9pm weekdays. Appointments are also available on Saturdays.
Examples of client work can be seen by looking at the Case Studies page and some of my clients' comments below.
"Thanks for a fantastic day on Saturday, I really feel as if I've made some big changes in my life. You were very patient when things weren't quite going to plan but we got there in the end." Neil H.
"I really enjoyed the weekend and still can't believe I abseiled down a sheer rock face, all thanks to you . . . I will continue my exploits and will remind myself of how to overcome the fear, in fact any fear. The NLP is amazing." Peter M., Accountant
"It's weird, it's really weird. I can't get that panicky feeling back no matter how hard I try. This EFT is weird, good but weird!" (Simon had suffered major panic attacks for the previous eight months following an assault that left him unconscious). Simon B. ,Joiner
"I found the EFT to be most useful. I haven't climbed Tryfan yet, but...I later attended day 1 of one of Wills Rock 1 (climbing) courses and I managed a couple of climbs which I could never have seen myself doing before...the outcome (of the course) exceeded my expectations" Ray G.
"I found the sessions with Brian extremely positive. The techniques that were used helped to diminish my phobia of flying which had become a major issue for me for several years. A week after the sessions I flew to Spain with no problems at all. I looked forward to the sessions as afterwards I felt uplifted and much more positive...my life has improved as a result of the sessions." R.H., PR Account Executive
"I suffered from a fear of heights that would seriously compromise a forthcoming trip to Peru - walking the Inca Trail. I found our day together extremely useful, particularly when we went out to the hills to put things into practice. When I embarked on my trip, there were several instances when I used the EFT to calm my fears. The technique was effective and made the whole experience far more pleasurable." Neil H.
"Although I was cynical about the methods used, I did find them surprisingly useful, and I found the encouragement and support during the course invaluable." Ali T., nurse
"Brian is an excellent NLP therapist who is approachable and supportive in his work." This phrase has often been fed back to occupational health from the employees who were referred to him with various issues that they experienced at work, e.g., work related stress, assaults, bullying etc., to personal issues e.g., depression, anxiety, personal related stress etc.
From a professional viewpoint he provides detailed feedback in his reports on the techniques that he has used and the outcome. His therapy has resulted in long-term sickness absence cases returning to work earlier, as some of the feedback was reported that Brian's therapy changed their negative viewpoint to a positive outlook with long-term choices."
